Morse Code
Morse code is a type of code that is used to send telegraphic information using rhythm. It uses dots and dashes to show the alphabet letters, numbers,
punctuation and special characters of a given message. When messages are sent by Morse code, dots are short beeps or clicks or flashes, and dashes are longer ones.
The Morse Code was developed by Samuel F.B. Morse in 1844. It is still used today, especially by amateur radio operators. Many people do this as a hobby. The code can
be sent quickly over the telegraph, and is also useful for emergency signaling (SOS) with a radio, mirror, or flashlight. It is also used by people with severe disabilities to communicate.
The signal for help is S.O.S sent by Morse code. People can send Morse code by flickering lights. This is coded into • • • - - - • • • .
